On the first of this month, we were happy to be a part of such a great event, the Lupus Foundation of America Walk for Lupus Now®. A dear friend of ours has struggled with Lupus for most of her life, now at the age of 29 she is doing well and is very strong. We admire her strength and energetic spirit, it super contagious! She was team captain and kindly named us The Big Macs. Why? We’re not sure but, it was perfect! Not only was being a part of this walk was so much fun and for such a great cause, but we also came away with a second place award!
We were shocked to find out so many people have Lupus, and its also shocking so many young people are struggling with this disease. We were happy to hit our goal at raising 500 dollars!
