13. Creepshow: A classic from our youth, always managed to keep you awake at night.
12. Poltergeist: A classic. Should never be remade.
11. House on Haunted Hill: Not an overall creepy movie, but this sure had a ton of really terrifying scenes. The scene with the hand held camera gets us every time!!
10. Stir of Echoes: Great movie with even better acting?! Unheard of. Until Stir of Echoes, love this flick.
9. Arachnophobia: Ahhh! Spiders! No really, if you can’t even stand a daddy long legs…you will just freak at this movie. Makes you want a shower after.
8.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003): Just when you thought you couldn’t love Texas Chainsaw Massacre anymore, they came out with an amazing remake in 2003! Yes, the original is still a keeper. But you have to admit the remake is incredible. Especially the opening scene!
7.
The Orphanage: Totally worth reading the subtitles of this Spanish flick. Also, tons of creepy kids. Great ending too.
6. Amityville Horror: Great original with a pretty good remake. Nothing beats the creepy original with its haunting music and in your face visuals!
5.
The Exorcist: Spinning heads. Projectile vomiting. Oh, and the best part….creepily walking backwards on all fours. Who needs CG and crazy special effects? Scary stuff on its own. Tons of Halloween costume ideas…friends around you..not guaranteed.
4. Nightmare on Elm Street: The original will always be the best. You can’t beat such a great character like Freddy, those claws and that face. He always has the best one-liners!
3. Rosemary’s Baby: Mia Farrow is such a creepy mother of an even creepier offspring in this eerie horror flick. Sends chills down your spine.
2.
The Shining: We love Stanley Kubrick! The director of this movie adapted from a stunningly horrific book by Stephen King. A thriller from beginning to end, this movie that stays with you. Long empty hallways have never looked the same for many since.
1.
Halloween: The original is the best. Nothing beats that mask and creepy music. Nothing.
Happy Halloween! Time to get cozy on the couch for some scary movie watching!!!

How cool are mini things? Especially when they are miniatures of our favorite foods. Artist Shay Aaron is our hero. Not only does he make the most realistic versions of food to wear out of the polymer clay, but he most recently did a Christmas collection and even included tree ornaments. Our favorite is the mini gingerbread house and I just put the mini pizza slice earrings on my wish list.

Everyone needs to check out the rest of his stuff, it is amazing!! Click here.
These little wooden toys aren’t just the cutest ideas for Christmas gifts this year, but they are also eco-friendly. Made from sustainably harvested rubber wood and it’s non-toxic for the little kiddies. We think they rock.

Check out the entire holiday collection here.
In honor of Black Friday, we thought we’d take some time to mention some cool stuff we’ve found online to give to friends and family this Christmas. We don’t like run of the mill mall stuff, so if you like the unusual and the quirky, you need to check these out. We are not affiliated with these guys, we just like their stuff and thought you might like it too.
1.
Plush toys aren’t just for the kiddies anymore. Esty Gertzman is an artist who creates toys with unusual fabrics like plush and wool. See the entire line.
2.
Cozy up on the couch with a mug of hot cocoa this Christmas, with one of these designer mugs. Each cup has a matching saucer and are limited editions created by some of the most impressive illustrators in the field today. We dig it, and we think mom will too. Visit the store here.
3.
Here’s a fun DIY project, A Smore’s Kit. The design is in it’s simplicity. Plus, who doesn’t love Smore’s? Read the how-to here.
4.
This is such an innovative idea. Baby rattles made of sustainable materials and non-toxic finishes. No more massed produced plastic toys for the little one in your family. We love the concept and the design. See more about it on the Fawn & Forest site here.
5.
We love Allegra Noir’s woven creations. We just noticed she added some adorable dog wear to her collection. You know Bruno would love one. Our favorite is the Mojo sweater. Check them out here.
Lastly, we happen to think our t-shirts would make perfect gifts too. Our favorite tee at the moment is Paper Plane. Happy Shopping, from your friends at Frayed Threads.
